HOW TO PLAY · 2–6 PLAYERS
Dead Man’s Dice
The claim keeps climbing. Roll to beat it, or challenge the player who made it.
Choose the cup
A match starting with two or three players uses two dice, with claims from 2 to 12. Four to six players use three dice, with claims from 3 to 18. The dice count stays fixed for the match, even as players are eliminated.
The opening roll
The opener rolls privately and claims a total. They can claim above their roll to bluff. A higher claim leaves the next player less room to raise, but may draw a challenge. The other players see the claim, but not the roll.
Roll or challenge
The next player can challenge the claim, or roll to accept it. Choose before seeing your dice. Once you roll, you must claim a higher total. At the maximum claim of 12 or 18, the next player must challenge.
Reveal the roll
A challenge reveals the latest claimant’s dice. If their total is at least the claim, the challenger takes one trigger pull. If it is lower, the claimant takes the pull. Ones count as one.
The penalty
Each player has one bullet hidden among six chambers. The first pull spins the cylinder; later pulls advance one chamber. An empty chamber means you survive. A bullet means you’re out. Chamber progress carries through the match.
Start again
After the penalty, the claim resets. The penalty player opens if they survived; otherwise the next survivor opens. The last survivor wins.
If time runs out
Each turn lasts 60 seconds. Running out of time forces a trigger pull.
